Lovin the pool!

Caitlin has been enjoying the summer so far. She loves going to the pool! She plays with the running water in the waterfall and splashes herself with water. On this day we decided to go with the Mohawk look (baby sunscreen works great as a gel!).

Caitlin Leigh O'Brien is 7 months old today!

Caitlin is 7 months old today. I can't believe it has already been 7 months since she was born. It feels like it was just yesterday that Tom was rushing me to the hospital (and getting pulled over for speeding...of course!). These past 7 months have been way more than I ever, ever imagined. Caitlin is so entertaining, and brings such joy to everyone she's around. It has been so much fun watching her little personality develop lately. She loves to laugh at silly faces or sounds (you can really get her going sometimes), and of course a good tickle always gets her giggling. As for physical changes, she still has just those two bottom teeth, but boy they are pretty! We still can't tell what color her eyes are....some days they're green, some days they're blue and other days they're green...blue...hazelish....but they're sure pretty! Most importantly, the Dr. saw her the other day and said she looks very healthy and very happy. Thank God for such blessings.

Look what Caitlin can do!!!

Woo Hoo! Look at her go!!! Caitlin took her first "crawls" this past Friday, and here she is a day later already scooting across the floor like she's been doing it for weeks. I have been working on the crawling for a little while now, but with the added help of Tom and Cici, Caitlin propped herself up and started moving! We are so proud of our little one. Of course this opens up a whole new chapter in parenthood....."baby is mobile!" No longer when we put her down does she stay in that spot. As a matter of fact, now when you put her down, all she wants to do is crawl around everywhere else but that spot. I am now learning that it is more important than ever to not leave anything on the floor that I don't want in her mouth.....like my shoes.....and the dogs' squeaky toys.....Oops!

4th of July!!

Fourth of July was a festive time this year! Caitlin had two outfits to celebrate Independence Day (she's quite the celebrator!) We went to lunch at the club with Cici and Bear and then enjoyed the pretty day. Caitlin's bedtime is still before dark, so she missed out on the fireworks this year, but next year should be lots of fun! We learned this year that Lantana is outside the city limits, so we can shoot fireworks off from our own back yard!

Our first trip to the pool!!

Caitlin went to the pool for the first time last week!!! She was a natural. She floated around in her float, kicking her legs the whole time. Then we even dared to dunk her a couple of times so to make sure she wasn't scared of getting her face wet. I think it was much scarier for us than it was for her. She had a ball!!!

It's Caitlin's Birthday!

Caitlin is 6 months old today! We can't believe how time has flown. It seems like it was just yesterday that she came into this world, and now here we are. She has brought such love and joy to all those that love her; she is such a blessing. Happy Birthday Caitlin Leigh O'Brien!!

ALMOST crawling

Caitlin is working hard on her crawling! I'm sure she still has a few weeks to go, but she gets up on those hands and knees and rocks backward and forward and backward and forward. As if maybe if she gets enough momentum going she will just start moving across the floor. Too fun to watch!!

We've Moved!

We moved into our new house this weekend!! Things are still in boxes all over the place, but the move went smoothly and we are so excited about our new home! Caitlin has her own playroom with plenty of room for all of her toys! So exciting!
