We've Moved!

We moved into our new house this weekend!! Things are still in boxes all over the place, but the move went smoothly and we are so excited about our new home! Caitlin has her own playroom with plenty of room for all of her toys! So exciting!

Baby foods - what fun!!

Caitlin just recently started eating solid baby food. We're only giving her little bits at a time right now, but it's a start! carrots seem to be her favorite (seen here!). Strangely enough she seems to make the "yuckiest" face when we feed her bananas....go figure!

Mother's Day

We made our first journey with Caitlin to Kerrville for Mother's Day this past weekend. She was a very good traveler for a 5 month old! Caitlin also experienced her first Sunday Church Service. She enjoyed the choir while having her breakfast and then decided to have her daily poopie right in the middle of the sermon! All and all though, she was on her best behavior and we had a wonderful Mother's Day. I received my first present from my little one....a beautiful ring made with two pink diamonds and a blue topaz (her birthstone). These past 5 months have been more amazing than I could have ever imagined. I'm one lucky mommy.

Shannon's Birthday

Wow, so much has changed in just a year. Last year at this time I had just found out that I was pregnant with Caitlin, and now look where we are!

This has been the most amazing year of my life and I am looking forward to all the great years to follow. When I made my birthday wish this year I realized what being a mom really is; it's no longer worrying about yourself, but always wanting the best for your baby. It seems all my birthday wishes from here on out will be for her health and happiness!

Sitting up on our own!

Caitlin started sitting up on her own! She manages to sit for quite a while now by herself, but still topples over to the side, backwards, or forwards sooner or later. This is a big step in baby world! The dogs seem to find it quite interesting to see her sitting upright since all they've ever seen her do is lay down!
